Farewell, King of Pop and the Angel.

Journal Entry: Fri Jun 26, 2009, 10:10 PM

R.I.P. Michael Joseph Jackson

At 3:23 P.M. EST on June 25th, 2009, my stepfather ran into the room in sort of a panic and announced that Michael Jackson was dead.

And the first thing I thought mentally and out loud was... "Nuh uh."

One of the greatest musical geniuses ever. The great singer behind the number one best-selling album around the world of all time, Thriller. A fragile man who was innocent of any wrongdoing despite the rumors and lawsuits and stayed strong even through all the prejudice.

A man who seemed untouchable.

I think I can honestly say a part of my childhood left with him. And I'm sure the same goes for many.

May he find the rest and peace in heaven that he wasn't granted on Earth. God bless his soul.

"Childhood" by Michael Jackson --

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for the world that I come from
'Cause I've been looking around
In the lost and found of my heart...
No one understands me
They view it as such strange eccentricities...
'Cause I keep kidding around
Like a child, but pardon me...

People say I'm not okay
'Cause I love such elementary things...
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood
I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like pirates in adventurous dreams,
Of conquest and kings on the throne...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me,
Look within your heart then ask,
Have you seen my Childhood?

People say I'm strange that way
'Cause I love such elementary things,
It's been my fate to compensate,
for the Childhood (Childhood) I've never known...

Have you seen my Childhood?
I'm searching for that wonder in my youth
Like fantastical stories to share
But the dreams I would dare, watch me fly...

Before you judge me, try hard to love me.
The painful youth I've had

Have you seen my Childhood....

"If you really want to know about me there is a song I wrote which is the most honest song that I have ever written, it is the most autobiographical song that I have ever written, it's called "Childhood". They should listen to it, that's the one they really should listen to." -- Michael Jackson

He may be gone, but his work and legacy will live on, like he wanted.

Also, listen to his song "You Are Not Alone", too, if you can. I listened to it today, and though I don't usually shed tears for passed celebrities, I actually cried a little listening to this song. I've known he was gone for two days but I think when I listened to that song today it really hit me.

R.I.P. Farah Fawcett

She's not as well-known as Michael Jackson, and she was before my time, her death isn't any less insignificant and she will be missed dearly, as well. Much love and condolences to her family, friends, and fans.

Please keep their family, friends and other loved ones in your thoughts and prayers (or just your thoughts, if you're not religious).

First Ed McMahon.
Then Farrah Fawcett.
And now Micheal Jackson.

Who is next? The governator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger? Pauly Shore? Bill Murray? Robin Williams?

Yeah. Don't forget about Robin Williams. Bicentennial Man comes up on Google before the word "Bicentennial".

I was in a bit of shock when I found out, as well! It was just so sudden! I did cry a little about it when I found out. It is quite sad ;_; He was an important part of our time! And a role model to many!
My stepdad, said when he was little he wrote a letter to MJ while he was in the Jackson 5, saying he wanted to join there band (he said he was white though XD) and MJ replied! He said there band wasn't recruiting members currently and some other stuff. Imagine if my stepdad found that letter!
On subeta (dun know if you heard of it) they're giving away single sequined gloves as a tribute, I think almost everything is doing some sort of tribute. Tis sad, quite sad.

My grandmother had told me about Farrah Fawcett being on her death bed quite a bit, and now she dies aswell. And on the same day as MJ, quite a coincident. Still is very sad though...

Wow, he'll definitely have to keep that letter! It'll contain a lot of sentimental (and monetary, I suppose) value.

Farah Fawcett died a day before MJ did. It is very sad. ;__;

Yeah, if only he could fine it!

Really? Hmm, the information I got said they both died the 25th...hmmm.
;____; My parents raised me off Michael Jackson. It was just so sudden. I'm not going to lie, I cried a lot when I found out what happened. Oh god, and then this morning all I did for two hours was searching for my moms old MJ cassets in the attic, only to come to realize I didn't have anything to play them with. So I cried some more and just settled for watching his vids on BET. I bet the BET awards this sunday will make some kind of tribute to him.

RIP Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett

Did you hear Thurop van Orman might do a cameo of MJ on MMoF as a tribute?

It really is tragic what happened. He was a musical genius. I don't think there's ever been this much shock at the death of a celebrity since the death of Elvis Presley. My parents, and you, and me, and our entire generation; we all grew up on Michael Jackson. It was so upsetting. :(
this is what jhonen tweeted btw
"Ready for an even bigger shock? Open up the obituaries and see how many OTHER humans died today."

asshole.
And then the stupid fans who pretended it was funny and that they didn't care just because of their stupid fanworship for Jhonen. :pissedoff:
He has to be the worst idol ever.
Some people need personalities.

I agree, Jhonen can be mean sometimes. Maybe not really mean, but...very blunt and straightforward about what he thinks.

But Mr. Jackson was a human being, like the rest of us, he deserves respect. And most people forget he didn't really molest children, he was proven innocent. Some greedy people just wanted to sue him for money. :x
